The One Thing Business Owners Say They Regret About Opening a Business
There is a pattern that comes up almost every time I speak with business owners. When I ask them what they regret most, the answer is surprisingly consistent.
Most of them say, “I just wish I had done it sooner.”
It does not seem to matter what kind of business they run or how successful they are today. The story often sounds the same. They had the idea, the passion, and even the skills, but they waited. Some waited years before taking that first step. Others spent too much time planning, hesitating, or talking themselves out of it altogether.
They weren’t waiting because they didn’t care. They were waiting for the timing to be perfect. They were waiting to feel completely ready. But in hindsight, they realize that the perfect moment never really comes. What they lost was time they can never get back.
What stands out most in these conversations is this: none of them regret starting. The only thing they regret is how long they waited to begin.
