Hadassah is the Jewish name of Queen Esther (Esther 2:7). “Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up.” Her name is changed to Esther so she can become queen and represent her people with loyalty, integrity, grace and strength. Esther is a role model because she was known to be as beautiful on the outside as she was on the inside.
