It’s ! Today, we’re featuring Chapin We Care Center, located in Chapin, SC. Chapin We Care was established in 1986 to help community members who are facing emergencies meet their basic living needs. Chapin We Care operates mobile food pantries throughout underserved areas of Newberry County, SC, partnering with several organizations to bring food where it is needed most, such as “food deserts” where healthy nutritional options are difficult to find. Tis the season…Food Bank Fridays are back! Each Friday throughout October and November 2026, we’ll donate to a food bank chosen by one of our team members. Then, we’ll feature information about each organization and how to support them on our socials. We hope you’ll join us in fighting hunger in our communities!

Today’s featured food bank is Bluffton Self Help, which is located in Beaufort County, South Carolina. Sadly, 21,230 households in Beaufort County and 3,700 (12.6%) households in nearby Jasper County are food insecure. Bluffton Self Help neighbors are welcome to visit The Market once a week to pick out fresh produce, meat, dairy, bread, desserts, non-perishable items, and hygiene items. Bluffton Self Help also offers home delivery of pre-bagged groceries once a week to neighbors who are temporarily or permanently medically housebound or without transportation. Studies have shown that arts education improves students’ academic outcomes (it especially enhances writing and critical thinking skills); promotes wellness by helping them handle stress and manage their emotions; and increases students’ engagement and motivation to attend school. During our most recent Team Time, we wrote cards to our partners to let them know how much they mean to us. We’re so grateful for the close, collaborative relationships we have formed with the school districts, universities, and nonprofits we serve, as well as for the opportunity to catch up with our team members. We also spent some time writing e-cards to children at St. Jude Children’s Hospital to help brighten their days and let them know we are thinking of them!
