I have spent days trying to find the words, only to realize there simply aren’t any that feel big enough. This is so incredibly hard. How do you say goodbye?

We aren’t given an instruction manual for loss, but we are given each other. And maybe that is what we hold onto right now. We lean on one another. We hold space. We show up. We surround those who are hurting with love and remind them they do not have to carry their grief alone.

Meghan and Ryan have written for Expand since the very first issue I produced. Through the years, they have generously shared their wisdom, their hearts, and so much of themselves with our readers. They never held back. Generosity and love have always been at the heart of who they are.

Now it is our turn to give some of that love back.

Please join me in wrapping our arms around Ryan and their children and supporting them as they walk through this unimaginable loss.
