Kevin had a great time last week speaking on panel discussions at the 99th Annual Convention of the South Dakota Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors in Deadwood.

The conversations covered outsourcing and other real-world issues facing plumbing, heating, and cooling businesses today, from building capacity to managing risk and keeping operations running smoothly.

We’re grateful to South Dakota PHCC for the opportunity to be part of the event and the conversation.

Chief Strategy Officer Kevin Elsing is headed back to Dakota State University to present a Critical Thinking with AI workshop on Monday, Feb 23 (4:00–5:30 PM) at MADLABS.

AI can be incredibly helpful — but it can also sound confident while being wrong. This workshop focuses on the human skills that make AI safer and more effective, especially for leaders: verifying, asking better questions, and making decisions you can actually trust.

⚠️ Cybersecurity 101: Be Aware of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Scams

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is one of the strongest ways to secure your accounts — but even good tools can be misused by attackers.

Here’s how:
Cybercriminals will sometimes spam you with repeated MFA requests — nonstop login prompts to your phone or email — hoping you’ll eventually click “approve” just to make them stop.
That’s called an MFA fatigue attack, and it’s how they trick users into letting them in.

If you ever see multiple unexpected MFA notifications:
🚫 Don’t click approve.
📱 Change your password immediately.
📞 Contact your IT provider or administrator right away.

Even the best security tools rely on human awareness to work.
