🔥 Session 2 of Leadership Sioux Metro did NOT disappoint.
We kicked things off with an incredible and timely message from Dr. Place of Avera Health — sharing powerful keys to leadership, mindset, and what it truly takes to show up as your best self. Exactly the kind of voice this cohort needed in the room. 🙌

We wrapped up our Success Mindset session and dove deep into Self-Awareness — because you can't lead others to a place you haven't been willing to go yourself. The conversations in that room were real, honest, and exactly what intentional leadership development looks like.

And we didn't stop there. We spent the afternoon hearing from incredible business leaders across the region and toured some of the thriving businesses that are shaping the Sioux Metro area. This is what learning by immersion looks like. 🌱

You elevate everybody but you.

That is the pattern in almost every leader I sit with. You develop your staff. You fund somebody else's growth. Your own development is the line that quietly disappears from the budget every year, and you are the one who removes it.

Seventy two people came to the first Ripple in Sioux Falls. Nobody was asked to post about it afterward. Four of them did anyway.

September 22 we are doing it again. That one was free. This one is not, and I would rather say that plainly than have you find it at the checkout.

Fifty dollars for your seat. Three hundred and fifty for a table of seven, which works out to the same fifty a seat. The table is not a discount. It is a different unit. What you are buying is seven people who heard the same thing at the same time.

You double tapped. Then kept scrolling.

Most of us do this with good ideas. We agree, we save, we move on. Then we wonder why nothing changed.

Throwing a seed on the ground and returning in the fall does not produce fruit. Seeds need soil, water, and attention.

Ideas work the same way.

You cannot give someone wisdom. You can only give them knowledge. Knowledge sitting unused is not power. Applied knowledge is power. And only what you have lived becomes wisdom that belongs to you.

Socrates did not lecture. He held council.

So here is my question for you. What is one idea you already believe, and have never once acted on?
