Wow! I've been so busy with my other obligations that I've neglected this page for a while. I've been quite busy "paying it forward!" I'm serving a second, non-consecutive, four-year term on the Georgia Advisory Committee to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, and we're focusing on the "school to prison pipeline" as our Georgia report.
Since March 2025, I've served as the chairman of the Rabun County Republican Party, and I'm excited to see attendance growing by the month!
In November 2025, I was elected Mayor of Georgia's Highest and Coolest City, Sky Valley, Along with three new council members, I was sworn in on January 6. It's been an interesting opportunity, too!
Meanwhile I continue to serve as chair, along with my co-chair, Nancy Couch, for the Georgia Center-Right Coalition's Second Friday meetings. We'll celebrate 10 years of meetings in December, with a brief break during COVID, when meetings were Zoom-only!
So while the paying work has been put somewhat on the back burner, I feel as if I'm more than "paid" in job satisfaction!
