******COOLING ASSISTANCE BENEFIT ******

The 2020-2021 Cooling Assistance benefit opened on May 3, 2021.

If you are eligible, you may receive one Cooling Assistance benefit per applicant household for the purchase and installation of an air conditioner or a fan to help your home stay cool.

In circumstances where an air conditioner cannot be safely installed, a fan will be provided.

Only one air conditioner or fan, not to exceed $800 with installation, will be provided per applicant household. No additional HEAP cash benefits are available.

The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) can help eligible New Yorkers heat their home. The amount of assistance depends on your household income and may be available even if your heat is included in your rent.

**Attention customers** Starting Thursday April 1, 2021 the Upstate New York Energy Association will relaunch their Rebate Program. Customers can receive $500.00 for efficiency upgrades of oil-fired boilers and furnaces, and $250.00 for the installation of new above-ground storage tanks.
