I am a wife and mom of two beautiful daughters. My passion stems from wanting to help people hence my profession of nursing. I have been interested in becoming a doula for a few years now. Like most of you, I did not know doulas existed. I have been attending births before I had children of own; supporting friends and family during their labors and postpartum experiences. I wondered why my family
and friends wanted me in the delivery room with them. Was it because of my calm nature? My nurse background? Caring spirit? Maybe all the above. So I started to do research about people who support women during labor. What do you know, there are people who do this for a living! They are called doulas, the irony. I immediately started my journey to become a certified doula in the Summer of 2015. My heart of giving, caring, and nurturing led me to another great ministry, the beautiful world of doulas.
