Everyone knows you as the strong one…but who checks on you?

You show up. You encourage. You pray. You help carry everyone else's burdens. But sometimes being “the strong one” can make it difficult to admit when you need support too.

This week on Hope & Healing Live, we're talking about what it means to allow yourself to receive—not just give.

We'll talk about:

Why strength and vulnerability can coexist
How always saying “I'm fine” can keep people from knowing what you really need
Why receiving support isn't weakness
One practical step you can take to begin letting safe people pour back into you

And we'll look at what Galatians 6:2 teaches us about carrying one another's burdens.

Join me for an honest conversation about healing, hope, and learning that you don't always have to be the one carrying everything.

August Theme: Hope — Taking Your Next Faithful Step

Tell me in the comments: Are you usually the person everyone calls when they need someone?

You don't have to walk this journey alone.

07/30/2026

Have you ever felt like everyone expects you to be the strong one?

The one who keeps going.
The one who holds it all together.
The one who never lets anyone see the weight you're carrying.

Tonight on Hope & Healing Live, we're having an honest conversation about what God's Word says when strength begins to feel heavy.

If you're feeling weary, overwhelmed, or simply need a reminder that you don't have to carry life's burdens alone, I invite you to join me.

Tonight
7:30 PM EST

Bring your Bible, invite a friend, and let's discover the hope, rest, and strength that can only be found in Christ.

Healing is possible. You don't have to walk this journey alone.

Anticipatory grief is the grief that begins before the loss happens. It can happen when someone you love is seriously ill or nearing the end of life. While they are still here, part of you is already mourning.

You are not only grieving the person. You are grieving the future you imagined together. The conversations that may never happen. The birthdays they may never celebrate. The ordinary moments you know you will one day miss.

That is why anticipatory grief feels so confusing. You may feel sadness, fear, guilt, hope, and even relief all at once. These emotions do not mean you love them less. They mean your heart is slowly facing a goodbye that has not happened yet.

Have you ever felt like you should be "further along" in your healing by now?

Maybe you've wondered...

"Why is this still so hard?"

Tomorrow on Hope & Healing Live, we're having an honest conversation about When Healing Doesn't Happen as Quickly as You Hoped.

If you've ever felt discouraged by your healing journey, I want to encourage you to join me. Together, we'll talk about why healing isn't a race, how to give yourself grace, and where we can find hope even when progress feels slow.

I hope you'll bring a cup of coffee or tea, invite a friend, and join the conversation.

Because healing isn't about how fast you get there—it's about not giving up on the journey.

As I'm putting the finishing touches on tomorrow night's Living Beyond Loss™ webinar, I keep thinking about the women who will be joining me.

The truth is, this isn't just another webinar for me.

It's personal.

Every lesson, every story, and every word has been shaped by seasons of grief, unanswered questions, and learning what it truly means to trust God one day at a time.

I've spent time praying over this message, but more importantly, I've been praying for the women who will be in the room.

Maybe that's you.

If you've been carrying grief, navigating a difficult life transition, or wondering if healing is really possible, I want you to know you don't have to figure it out alone.

My hope is that tomorrow isn't just another event on your calendar. I hope it's a safe space where you feel seen, encouraged, and reminded that hope is still possible.

If you've already registered, I can't wait to spend the evening with you.

And if you've been thinking about joining us, there's still time. I'd truly love to have you there.

Tonight is the night!

Join me for the very first episode of Hope & Healing Live.

Tonight we'll talk about:

Why Some Pain Doesn't Go Away on Its Own

We'll have an honest conversation about grief, healing, faith, and hope—and why moving forward isn't always as simple as "giving it time."

Tonight at 7 PM EST

Bring your questions, your thoughts, and your heart.

I would love to have you join the conversation.

For a long time, I believed that if my faith was strong enough, the pain I felt would just go away.

But as I’ve grown, I’ve realized that’s not really how it works.

When I read Scripture now, I see people who loved God deeply still grieving, still crying out, still bringing their raw, honest emotions before Him.

That helped me understand something important—faith doesn’t cancel out pain.

Instead, it can walk with us through it.

Faith and healing aren’t in competition. They can exist together, gently guiding us forward.

If you’ve been carrying something heavy lately, I want you to know you don’t have to carry it alone.

I’d love for you to join me for Living Beyond Loss™.

I want to talk to you for a moment.

There are some conversations you may not feel like you have enough space to have.

Conversations about your grief.

Your disappointment.

The life transitions that caught you off guard.

Your faith.

Your healing.

And maybe you've been carrying those things quietly, unsure of where to take them.

That’s exactly why I created **Hope & Healing Live**.

Every Thursday at **7 PM EST**, I’ll be going live on Facebook to sit with you in those real, honest conversations about healing, hope, faith, and finding purpose in life’s most difficult seasons.

This isn’t a space where you have to pretend everything is okay.

This is a space where you can be real.

A space for honest conversations, practical encouragement, and biblical hope.

If you’ve been feeling stuck after loss, disappointment, or a major life transition, I want you to know—you’re not alone. And I would truly love for you to join me.

There are some conversations we avoid because they feel too painful.
Grief.
Disappointment.
Lost dreams.
Unexpected life transitions.

Yet what we avoid often continues to affect us.
That’s one of the reasons I created Living Beyond Loss.

This webinar is designed for women of faith who are navigating difficult seasons and looking for practical tools, encouragement, and hope.

Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but healing is possible.

I welcome you to join me.

This article stopped me in my tracks.

One thing I've learned through my own grief journey and through supporting others is that loss doesn't just affect our hearts—it can affect our relationships, our sense of safety, and even the way we give and receive love.

The loss of a parent can leave an imprint that follows us into adulthood, marriage, friendships, and parenting. Sometimes we don't recognize the connection until much later.

This Ebony article offers an important perspective on a conversation we don't have often enough.

After reading, I'd love to hear your thoughts:

In what ways, if any, has the loss of a parent influenced the way you love, trust, or connect with others?

Losing a parent can shape far more than grief—it can influence how we trust, attach, communicate, and show up in our romantic relationships.

For many people, dating without a parental safety net means navigating love while carrying the weight of loss, emotional distance, or the absence of a support system. It can make conflict feel more threatening, reassurance more important, and healthy relationships harder to recognize.

Experts share why these patterns develop, how they show up in adulthood, and what it looks like to build healthy love without putting the weight of every unmet need onto a partner.
