You are invited to the “Imagine the Possibilities” Regional Technology Showcase hosted by The Center for Rural Development, The City of Burnside and Pulaski County Government. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 28 from 10 am through 2:30 pm at The Center for Rural Development. The purpose of the event is to bring together those interested in promoting innovative technologies, businesses, Career and Technical Education, Elementary through Post Secondary education, community members and local, regional and state decision makers. The event will be used as an idea incubator, economic development engine, and showcase of what our people in the region are capable of. You can expect to see robots, drones, electric cars, virtual reality, hazmat, fire and military technology, skilled tradesmen, space and medical technology.

CHAMBER SHOOTING COMPETITION AT LAKE CUMBERLAND INDOOR RANGE

The Somerset-Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Lake Cumberland Indoor Range & Paul’s Discount to bring our members an exciting, one-of-a-kind opportunity — a private indoor shooting competition designed for networking, team building, and some friendly competition.

This exclusive event will take place at Lake Cumberland Indoor Range, located at 1616 Highway 2227 – Somerset, KY 42503, from Wednesday, October 15th to Saturday, November 15th. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or trying something new, this event offers a fun, safe, and engaging way to connect with fellow Chamber members outside the traditional business setting.

Participants are welcome to bring their own fi****ms or may rent one at the range if they prefer — all necessary gear and safety equipment will be available (you may bring your own if preferred).

The best-performing team will win a 1-year corporate membership to Lake Cumberland Indoor Range for up to 5 people.

One lucky participant will be randomly selected to receive a $450 credit to use at Lake Cumberland Indoor Range.

During this event, Chamber members will also receive 10% off range time and 5% off any ammo purchases as a special thank you for your continued support of local business and community engagement.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
* A structured shooting competition with scoring and prizes for top performers
* Full safety briefing provided by professional range staff
* Exclusive access to Lake Cumberland Indoor Range’s modern indoor shooting facility

🔥UPDATE: BURN BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED🔥

ATTENTION:

Pursuant to Executive Order, Pulaski County Judge Executive Marshall Todd is declaring a burn ban on all open burning in Pulaski County effective immediately. Due to extremely dry conditions, no person shall light or maintain an open fire at any location in Pulaski County while this ban is in effect. Any person violating this ban shall be subject to fines and penalties. This ban shall remain in effect until further notice.
