Collect #14 | 06.05.26

Last year it was the Golf Ball Brute. This year, it’s the Golf Ball PIG.

A nod to our annual Charity Golf Scramble and one of our favorite calls we’ve ever released, Collect No. 14 is a chance for those who can’t make it to Live at the Shop or join us on the course this week.

The Golf Ball PIG will be available Friday at 10AM CST on our website.

See you then.

June 5th Live at the Shop is back and bigger than ever.

We’ll have a full line up of food cooked by Malcolm Reed and HowToBBQRight, live music from one of our favorites, The Park Hill Billies, and food & drinks on the house thanks to some fine friends out of Somerville.

This has turned into our biggest in-house event of the year, and for good reason. Good food, cold drinks, live music, the opportunity to win some really cool prizes, and a shop full of people who love the outdoors as much as we do.

You definitely don’t want to miss this one.

As turkey season begins to wind down and the temperatures start to rise, those cool early mornings are the perfect time to start looking ahead. After laying around the house all spring, it’s time to get your dog back in shape and ready for another fall in the blind.

• Keep training sessions short in the heat and always have plenty of water nearby. Early mornings and late evenings are your friend this time of year.

• Mix in simple marks and memory drills through light cover to sharpen up obedience, steadiness, and retrieves without overworking your dog.

• Don’t overlook conditioning. A few long walks, light swimming sessions, and basic retrieves each week go a long way toward getting your lab back in hunting shape.

A little work now makes a big difference come duck season.

One last stretch of early mornings.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, a day at the lake, or time on the beach. It’s a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy every single day came at the cost of someone else’s sacrifice.

Today we remember the men and women who gave everything for this country. Because of them, we get to spend mornings in the woods, afternoons on the water, and evenings with family and friends.

Enjoy the day, but never forget why we’re able to. Be thankful for those who paid the price for our freedom.
