From dormancy to bud break, bloom to véraison and finally to harvest, Sangiacomo Family Vineyards seeks to produce the highest quality fruit with the lowest environmental impact possible — creating the optimal ecology for vines. That means using cover crops to stem erosion during the rainy months. That also means suckering, vine training, shoot positioning and canopy management by hand. This intim

ate relationship with our vines has led us to understand the need to incorporate sustainable farming methods into our growing protocol. Our goal is to reduce the amount of inputs required to grow the highest quality wine grapes possible — while continuing to improve upon that same quality our family has worked so hard to achieve. In areas where we can no longer reduce inputs, we are dedicated to finding and implementing alternatives that have less environmental impact. These inputs range from electrical usage to the nutrients in the soils beneath our treasured vines. We look to these, and other growing techniques, to align with the needs of our customers. Finally, we believe that the best grapes are hand harvested. So, in the dark and cold nights of autumn, we roll up our sleeves and proudly bring in the fruits of our labor in pristine condition. Then our vintner partners put their magic to work, and we look forward to tasting the high quality wines our grapes were grown to become.

We are so proud to be partners with Macrostie Winery for 32 years! It is an honor to be part of their dedication and passion for producing world class wines! It seems like just yesterday we were sending Steve MacRostie some of his first grapes!!

This picturesque vineyard located along Sonoma Creek is owned by the Sangiacomo family. The Sangiacomos helped pioneer Sonoma County viticulture by converting their orchards to vineyards in the 1970s. In the years since, they have established themselves as master viticulturists, renowned for the exceptional quality of their grapes. We're lucky to count their beloved vines and this wonderful family as a true MacRostie partner for 32 years -- all the way back to our first vintage in 1987!
