Impromptu Tasting Panel carefully selected from the illustrious “Friends-of-Canihan” community. This time we did a Viognier comparison of the ‘23 and ‘25 vintages. Yes, you heard it correctly; ‘25 straight from the barrel. I think it was a tie in terms of preferences but we all marveled at the distinctive differences and the promise that the ‘25 holds ! Where can you still find this level of attention to detail ? Well,..at Canihan every bottle of Cabernet Franc features a unique handwritten number. Bottle 176 has its own story that only the winemaker knows. If you buy a bottle once the 2024 Cab Franc is released and you happen to get bottle 176, your winemaker will tell you the story and give you an extra bottle.

From a distance the big white barn in the Canihan Vineyard looks just like a big white barn…but for the more detail-oriented among us, you’ll see a sign that we are very proud of. We have been a California Certified Organic Farmer since before it was trendy. And everyone benefits !! The soil, the plants, the birds, our vineyard bees, and of course YOU. When you drink our wine you experience pure nature !
