Lesson learned! On Wednesday, I ordered flowers for my daughter with a delivery date of Thursday. As 4:30 rolled around and I hadn't received delivery notification, I called to inquire about ETA. As I listened to the recorded message before speaking to a human, to my horror, I learned that the delivery window is until 8 pm. Yikes! My daughter gets off at 5, and when I shared this with the human representative, we agreed to update the delivery address to her home address. Long story short, the flowers were delivered to her work address and were left unattended, placed on the ledge any old kind of way. My lesson learned, 💐 can be delivered until 8 pm. Good to know. From a leadership (you know I must include leadership in the dialogue) and customer service perspective, what could the delivery person have done to turn the outcome from a dud into a delight? BONUS! For my job seekers, using STAR or PAR, create an accomplishment statement if you were the delivery person.
