Yesterday, October 1, would have been Rex Carlile's birthday. Per a special request, we recognized Rex's birthday in a way we think Rex would appreciate.
Yesterday, we raised a second American flag at Adams Remco in his honor.
For those who didn't have the opportunity to get to know Rex, he passed away on April 10, 2024. Rex was the founder of Adams Remco, and the company we know today was built on the foundation he created. But Rex wasn't someone who wanted a lot of fuss or attention. He was a simple man who loved the things that mattered most to him: his family, an early morning of fishing, an afternoon of golf, being home in time for a cocktail with Helen, and, of course, Adams Remco. If you could somehow fit all those things into one day, Rex would have considered it just about perfect.
Rex loved this company more than words can really express. He dedicated so much of himself to building Adams Remco and helped build the very bones behind our home at 2612 Foundation Drive. His influence is very much a part of who we are today.
The American flag we raised yesterday was given to our family by the funeral home when Rex passed away. It has remained at home for the past two years, but Helen Carlile feels there couldn't be a more appropriate home for it than Adams Remco, a place that meant so much to Rex.
On his birthday, we proudly raised that flag here, where a piece of Rex will always remain.
Please take a moment and remember Rex as you go about your day.
