Hey, parents -- you already have a lot on your plate. Vroom is here to help you capitalize on the moments you’re already spending together! Try this the next time you’re out for a walk with your kiddo.

Pick a spot ahead of you and ask your child to predict how many steps it will take to get there. Then have them test this out. Encourage them to change the way they move, like running or jumping to the same spot. How do those changes affect the prediction?

What’s the Brainy Background? 🧠 Your child is thinking like a scientist by making predictions and testing them against what actually happens. This game also develops the skill of critical thinking and helps them explore math ideas, like distance and counting. 💡✨

States have always been the backbone of the child care system. A new federal rule may have changed what's required, but it hasn't changed what works.

Child Care Aware® of America urges state leaders to stay the course: keep copayments low, pay providers on time, and invest in the families and communities that need it most.

Read our statement and the latest issue brief to understand what the new CCDF rule means for families and providers in your state.

Now this is some great inspiration!

Child care providers protect our youngest children every single day—and that includes being ready when emergencies happen. 🧡

Lincoln Littles in Lincoln, Nebraska built a community-wide emergency preparedness system from scratch, connecting providers with real-time alerts, hands-on training, and the tools they need to keep kids safe in any situation.

Their story is a roadmap for what strong partnerships and a little determination can accomplish. Check it out.

Some added options coming to the BABY AND ME class schedule this season!

To clarify, this is just an added option based on requests for less days per week and midday or evening for working parents.

If you prefer a different time, you can sign up during normal group slots for the 5 day a week class, for two weeks. The price is different as well. Keep in mind, if you and your baby are the only one signed up for a session time, it may be cancelled or moved to another time with more participants.

A new report confirms what families across the country already know: child care is unaffordable everywhere in the United States.

Parents are stretching budgets past the breaking point just to access care so they can work, attend school and support their families. Meanwhile, early educators remain underpaid for the essential work they do.

When child care costs more than families can reasonably afford, everyone feels the impact, especially babies and toddlers during the most important years of development.

We need bold investments in affordable, high-quality child care and stronger support systems for families nationwide. Read the article: https://bit.ly/4tyeYOA
