This stop is extra special because we’re right at home! 📍 Low Associates is proudly based in South Bend, so St. Joseph County will always hold a special place in our story.

🏈 Go Irish! St. Joseph County is home to the legendary University of Notre Dame, whose iconic Golden Dome and “Touchdown Jesus” mural have become recognizable landmarks far beyond Indiana! 💙💛

🚗 Did you know? Before South Bend became known for the Fighting Irish, it was famous for something on four wheels! The Studebaker company grew from a wagon manufacturer into a well-known automobile maker, putting South Bend on the map for transportation history. AND, our founder, Larry Low, worked in Data Processing at Studebaker before founding Low Associates - how cool is that?!

🤝 A little Low history: St. Joseph County became our very first county customer in 1985! That’s more than 40 years of partnership, and we couldn’t be prouder of the relationship that helped shape our story.

🌲🚗 Crossroads & County Lines: Perry County, Indiana!

This week, we’re heading to southern Indiana, where wooded hills, river views, and small-town traditions make Perry County a special stop!

🌳 Fun fact: Perry County is home to a large portion of Hoosier National Forest, offering plenty of opportunities for hiking, camping, and exploring the great outdoors.

🇨🇭 A town with a story: Tell City was named after Swiss folk hero William Tell, and the community celebrates its Swiss heritage every year at Schweizer Fest!

💻 A newer chapter with Low: Perry County joined the Low Associates family in 2022, and we’re glad to partner with another Indiana county dedicated to serving its community!

This stop takes us to southeastern Indiana, where small-town charm meets some pretty fascinating history!

🏞️ Outdoor adventure: Versailles State Park is Indiana’s second-largest state park, with a 230-acre lake, hiking trails, and miles of mountain biking and horseback riding trails.

🏀 Hoosier basketball history: Remember the movie Hoosiers? Ripley County is home to Milan, the small town whose 1954 high school basketball team inspired the beloved film!

💻 Over a quarter-century of partnership! Ripley County has been a Low Associates customer since 2000. We're proud to support the local government team serving this southeastern Indiana community!

🚗💨 We are back with Crossroads & County Lines! This week, we’re heading to northeast Indiana and the “County of 101 Lakes” — Steuben County!

🌊 Steuben County is known for its abundance of natural lakes, making it a favorite destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and soaking up some sunshine.

🛷 A winter adventure: Pokagon State Park is home to Indiana’s only refrigerated toboggan run! The quarter-mile track features dips, valleys, and a 90-foot vertical drop, with riders reaching speeds of up to 42 mph. Talk about a Hoosier thrill ride!

🎓 College spotlight: Steuben County is also home to Trine University in Angola. Founded in 1884, Trine’s beautiful 450-acre campus has grown into a university serving more than 13,000 students from around the world.

💻 We’re proud to work alongside Steuben County since 2024 and support the people behind the scenes who keep their local government running. It’s relationships with Indiana communities like this that make our work so meaningful.

Today we celebrated two very special people here at Low Associates! ☺️

At the end of this calendar year, Kelly Low and Tom Greenway will be retiring. Both have served at Low Associates for 50 years! (Yes, you read that right!) 🤩

Today was a day of celebrating a collective century of service, dedication, and leadership. We are so thankful for these two and all the hard work they have done over these 50 years to help make Low what it is today. 🖥

Sending the warmest and best retirement wishes to Kelly and Tom as they begin this next new chapter! ⛳✈️🗺️☀️

October is here, the leaves are just starting to change here in South Bend, IN and we are celebrating 1 staff birthday this month!

Happiest of birthdays to Lori L. (10/18) who has served at Low Associates for 18 years! 🎂🎈 I guess you could call this her Low golden birthday! 😄 We are thankful for her many years of dedication and hard work! 💪

🚗💨 Crossroads & County Lines: We’ve Arrived in LaPorte County! 🌊

This week, our journey across the Hoosier State takes us north to LaPorte County, where Indiana meets the shores of Lake Michigan!

🌊 A taste of the lakeshore: LaPorte County is home to Michigan City, where beaches, Lake Michigan views, and part of the Indiana Dunes National Park give this Indiana county a coastal feel all its own.

💡 A beacon of history: Michigan City’s iconic East Light was built in 1904 and is Indiana’s only public operating lighthouse! Its historic elevated “catwalk” once helped lighthouse keepers safely make their way out to the light tower.

🎓 College spotlight: LaPorte County is also home to Purdue University Northwest’s Westville campus, one of PNW’s two Northwest Indiana campuses.

💻 Our connection to LaPorte County goes back to 1997! For nearly three decades, Low Associates has had the privilege of partnering with the county and supporting the important work happening in their local government. Relationships like this are a big part of why we love doing what we do.
