Firewood is always a good deal, here is a bit of perspective.
Given ongoing global supply risks affecting oil markets. It’s very possible crude oil could push toward $150+ per barrel in a stressed supply scenario. Prices are currently moving in a controlled way, but energy markets can shift quickly when supply routes tighten or geopolitical risk escalates.
At $150 per barrel, a typical New England home heating with oil is looking at roughly $4,800–$5,400 per winter. At $200 per barrel, that range moves closer to $6,500–$7,500+ per season, with inefficient or older homes pushing even higher.
