The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. Managers are the key to helping to ensure their employees are delivering great performances when they show up in the workplace.

1. Regular touch bases with team members (e.g.Weekly, monthly, etc...) are necessary in terms of communicating appreciation / praise to rock star employees for work well done.
This time can also serve as an opportunity to communicate concerns to under performers you concerns as it relates to their performance and to offer recommendations for improvements.
No one should be surprised at their review.

2. Regular meeting between employees and managers will help to keep the manager in "the know" as to morale of the team. This creates opportunities for managers to creatively implement team building activities, which would in turn, aid in slowing / eliminating team turn-over rates.
