Sometimes We Get Called In After The Fact
A building owner I had worked with from the beginning recently called me back after hiring a large franchise window film company for the project.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.
The film that was installed was extremely light, heat rejection wasn't meeting expectations, and there were several installation issues throughout the building. Light gaps at the tops of windows, dirt in the film, cuts where they shouldn't have been, missing rubber, and other concerns had employees and customers frustrated.
The owner asked me to come back out, walk the building, and give him an honest opinion.
After inspecting everything, we put together a plan to strip every window and start over. My crew removed the existing film and replaced it with Dual Reflective 15%, giving the building stronger heat rejection, reduced glare, and a much more comfortable environment for everyone inside.
This post isn't about tearing down another company. It's about helping customers understand that not all window films are the same and not all installations are the same.
Before hiring a company, ask questions. Ask to see film samples. Ask about heat rejection, glare reduction, warranties, and the installation process. A good company should be willing to educate you, not just sell you.
At Izzy & Sons Window Tinting, we take pride in being honest, showing all of your options, and helping you choose the right film for your goals and budget.
Sometimes the cheapest bid ends up being the most expensive one. Some franchises aren't as cool as they may seem!
If you're considering window film for your home or business, give us a call. We'd be happy to help.
