This week we talked about family members 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
We read these books during class.

"Quiero a mi papá porque..." is written in English and Spanish. This book shows how animals, specifically the males care for their offspring in similarity to humans.

"Como cuidar a tu abuelo(a)" are only in Spanish. These books take a child's point of view when cared for by grandparents and the adventures they may come across as they 'babysit' grandparents. Loving and humorous.

Words to practice:

Mother: madre
Father: padre
Brother: hermano
Sister: hermana
Cousin: primo
Aunt: tía
Uncle: tío
Grandmother: abuela
Grandfather:abuelo

Parents,

I am so exited to begin our Spanish lessons this week!

I just wanted to share some information before we begin.
If I have not sent you my home address, let me know and I will make sure to do so. I will have a form ready for you to fill out so I can have contact information for each child.

Please note, monthly payments are due the first week of the month. If you need to make other arrangements, let me know and we can discuss your needs.

Since we are beginning mid-month, I will prorate the cost and I will be sending individual messages with the amount according to the selected schedule.
I can take payments via PayPal or Venmo if you choose to not use cash.

If you have any friends or family members that may be interested in lessons, feel free to share my contact information.

This week we will be discussing greetings, we will learn the difference between formal and informal greetings. I am looking forward to meeting everyone!
