WinterHawk Vineyards, completed a sustainability survey by the DEM two weeks ago. One of the questions was do we have a no idle policy in place. We do; except I designed the hydraulic system on our tractor to run off the 2500rpm PTO. This allows us to run the log splitter at idle. The only time we do allow idling increases our sustainability!

The end of an era, the last rock blast at WinterHawk Quarries! I had two charges to finish this off... it didn't do it! Then I looked at the second blast head, it looked like it might not have fired. Wired it up again, boom, hanging fire - finished the job. One day closer to being a gentleman farmer!

In a world where people by their vats "off the rack" why would a winemaker design and have built custom vats in Italy!
