WinterHawk Vineyards Weekend Flower report, the dahlias and the Montauk Daisies are really holding their own and make the grounds look great. However lets give some love to the little hibiscus putting out a late season bloom and another bud to follow. Props to the underdog here. Like the flowers we are getting to the end of our season, come visit Rhode Island's most magical vineyard before our season ends. Tastings 1:00 to 6:00 Saturday & Sunday.

WinterHawk Vineyards Weekend Flower Report! Finally, the Montauk Daisies are blooming, Dahlias came back after the storms of the past few weeks and the sun is shining. Seems like a perfect fall weekend to come taste some locally made w**es. Tastings Sat. & Sun. 1:00 to 6:00

A not to be missed event, the first in a series we are planning.

This year's Petite Pearl harvest is ready to press. Hope to start the process in the w**ery (as opposed to the terrace due to the storm) Sunday at 2:00. Always a lot of fun and educational. Come learn how an estate w**e is made, one careful step at a time!

Traditionally when we press the harvest we invite as many golden retrievers as possible and call it the Field of Goldens (our record is 7 good boys and girls). The grapes are saying to press on Sunday, forecast, is saying nope. We are going to press but will postpone Field of Goldens to later in the fall.

Uhg another rainy day. Marina waiting by the door to see if anybody is going to come out, drink some w**e and tell her how beautiful she is. You wouldn't let a diva down, would you?

One of the items that led WinterHawk Vineyards to being the first Rhode Island Vineyard to achieving the first Better Beverage certification in the state was that we recycle a barrel conditioning solution (citric acid) for blueberry fertilizer. There are benefits to being green - half a pie off of one bush!

A wonderful night for Calin & Andrew's wedding, we used every glass in the building. I'd like to thank the 143rd airlift for the flyby!... I mean the totally random training exercise that I may or may not have had anything to do with. ;)
