Astrology: Cycles of Becoming is a new take on an astrology class that is appropriate for the novice and those who have some experience and knowledge of astrology. Approaching astrology from a psychological perspective, students will learn about concepts and principles within an experiential format, applying them to their own birth charts. Students will be asked to provide birth data when registering for the class, and provided a copy of their natal charts. The birth chart is the blueprint for actualizing our need fulfillment, will be used as examples of astrological concepts. Students will explore how this reflects aspects of their life experience. Within this framework we will consider how our individual essence and needs, potentials, defenses, and challenges have manifested in real time and how they point us toward growth and greater fulfillment for the future.

Uranus – Pluto square from 2012-2015
May brings another square between Pluto and Uranus, that is part of the process of these two planetary energies aspecting each other over the period of several years (from June and September 2012, May and December 2013, April and December 2014, to March 2015). What does this signify? CHANGE !

Pluto represents the energy of transformation, digging deep and unearthing or revealing realities to be evaluated and a change in perspective as a result. It is the embracing of our ‘shadow’ and reclaiming our power.
Uranus is the energy of freedom and individuality, the urge to express our uniqueness. It often signifies new beginnings where we finally have the courage to break away from what has not been working.

While we all go through these cycles many times throughout our lives, this particular period is different because they are occurring simultaneously, as Uranus and Pluto are aspecting together.

Astrologer Noel Tyl describes this combination with the metaphor of ‘Jesus overturning the tables’ of the bill collectors. With that image in mind we can feel a sense of change, to make things right. That would be the highest manifestation of Uranus and Pluto, and the energy we aim to capture in its application.

How these energies will affect each of us, as seen in the natal chart, will vary individually. With different aspects of ourselves or areas of our lives experiencing their effects and the opportunities for growth through transformation, change in perspective as we have an opportunity to break out of old conditions, beliefs, thought patterns, and habits that now longer serve us.
