It was Motorcycle Racing Overload this weekend - AWESOME

- MotoGP from Mugello - Italian GP

Ride of the Day - When Eddie oShea hit the front for Mlav racing in the MotoGP Moto3 Fansite Race - all those champs must have thought - who the hell is that? cracking ride and a real shame that ya got duffed up but you stayed in the top ten - fine ride -

Moto 2 expected - wanted to see smoking Joe Roberts racer at the front but alas he just couldn't hook that thing up.

The the GP - result written in the stars - Italians had a good day - and Martin just cant say it - "I got beaten by the better rider today"
dream time for Aprilia. Good to see mark back and diggia was awesome - AGAIN. Ogura almost hit the box but it was fair that Bagnia finally got something. But close to ride of the day - Diego Moreira! holy cow!
new speed record - wonder what number engine they blew up to get that! - 230mph is very fast!
And the Baggers - Not bad - looking forward to seeing more scraps with Mad Dog.

The WorldSBK from Aragon

Another win and a record for Aruba.it Racing - Ducati - bit of a 1 horse race but - Nicola Bulega has shown he now has the fight to come back in a race regardless of where he is.
Shame the Texas ripper Garrett Gerloff couldn't hook it up and beat the Bimotas but he did his best - thats all we can ask.
The Supersport race was awesome as well as the new sportbike class - hope they allow the yamaha a bit more power to make it a real fight but the triumph looked solid - as they all did -
good move on bringing in that class - solid

No Womens WCR - but i think it may have been a Spainfest!

Then the TT

Big 3 as Expected but HRC - Honda Racing Corporation s Dean Harrison was in a league of his own. The belief that guy has shows every time he leaves the line. - Hickman and Dunlop were a small step above Josh brooks and John McGuiness who were still flying - cant wait for Brooks to get that great looking suzuki on the box!
we suffered sadness and injuries during Practice but I know that all those folks watching would have been saying - don't stop - let them go - and go they did!
Hoping for more great weather and to see Dean go faster on his superstocker.

Moto America from Road America

Great Track great racing and shout out to Kayla Yakov - she has to be one of the finest, fastest female riders in the world now and her first supersport win in not Far away. Great racing and America really stepped it up this weekend - well attended event too! - Track looked awesome - Possible MotoGP track? methinks so

so after all that - I am tired out - oh well gonna go jump on the MT09 and go for a spin - see ya next time

TT postponed for today - so it was back to Aragon for Superikes and Mugello for MGP - good Sprint win for Fernandez
Baggers were fun and mad dog McDonald was a true hero raicing his emotions - two trips to the box and led the first race for a while. If he doesn't get a Moto2 chance this season I will be amazed - he has definitely got what it takes!
Aragon was a Duke fest as usual
more tomorrow when TT will be back on hopefully...

Well Firstly - the Isle of Man Looked spectacular and it was great to hear the relaxed voices from all the competitors - actually going out in near perfect condition was a welcome change from last year.

Unfortunately, despite amazing early practice performances a shadow was to creep across the proceedings. There were a number of early crashes - irst one in parliament square sounded very nasty but thank fully people were not critically or fatally hurt - Good news.

But Now Daniel ingham - an experienced rider and winner of the Manx senior race - no small achievement - has lost his life doing what he loved to do. leaving behind a wife and Family is depressing and the only thing that will make sense is " your dad was a true hero - winning in Soul, passion skill and spirit - he will never be forgotten" Race in Peace Daniel Inham.

people seem to think its just a motorcycle race - Its Not.
it is one of the ultimate tests of Man and machine vs the old enemy - The Clock.
Having seen and ridden on the course - not raced - I was astounded at how much you have to remember and the physicality it must take to get around at over 100mph - never mind 136!
In the short time I was there I broke my bike TWICE and was helped by the mazing people that the Isle of Man calls locals.
so now when I hear people say "why do they have to build special bikes for the Isle of Man TT Races ?" - I know EXACTLY why - the sheer stress on my road bike was too much in 3 days!
The Island is not a Safe place for racing a motorcycle - it never will be - but thats why we do it, right?
You Can't think about the Danger - its about the amazing feeling you get when it feels right.
But then more bad news - Maria Costello and he passenger were badly injured with Maria still serious in Aintree Hospital.
But worse - Pioneers of the modern fastest outfit on the roads and Lap record holders - The Crowe Brother were seriously injured in another "lift off" accident. Sidecars have been evolving fast and even with restrictor plates this year they were going almost as fast (118) - Exciting but quite worrying too.
All the sidecar races have been suspended for this year - a hard, but good call because if this keeps going it is bound to end in more loss of life.
We all know this can be the end - but we take the risk - because we know that there is no better feeling on earth when it all works.
To all the people injured - please make a full and speedy recovery. We all know why you are there - you, and we, Love the Place and the amazing things it provides.
But
Sometimes it just bites back - its life and sometimes the big highs come with even Bigger Lows.
To all the sidecar crews who will head home - You are all heroes - just for showing up - my heart goes out to you on the injury of your friends and your long empty trek home.
But the Show will go on and I hope that it Can do safely - but as well all know - In racing - there really is no such thing

05/25/2026

Yup, its that time again - lots to discuss about the TT and who may win but nothing more than excellent TT coverage will provide.

MotoGP Race Cataluña -
Lets remember - This is Racing not politics
This is the pinnacle of Motorcycle racing - split second both on brilliance and mistakes happen in Thousanths of seconds - its racing - Hero to zero is common

Racing is Tough , hard, fast, and dangerous - not to mention elegant, amazing, mind-blowing and soo good when its perfect.

Thoughts are With Alex Márquez and Johann Zarco - Hope injuries are not serious - we need the best on the grid back - Get Well soon.
a Lot of riders came back to the grid injured - especially the final (deserved) winner Diggia - Bravo, Bravissimo.
The level of Cultural testosterone and arrogance (as well as all the opposites to the public bu****it offered) on Display during the race and Motogp Weekend was amazing! - and showing signs that MotoGP paddock has more than a few problems (like their website)

OK, lets put this Straight after the utter bollox uttered by commentators
and I quote
" RAUL FERNANDEZ has ridden into the side of Jorge Martinez and took him out of the race"
"I don't think he's engaged Brain there"

THIS IS RACING!! - Would you be saying the same thing if MARTIN had done that? - dont think so.
Aprilia have openly said " we want all our riders to be their best and everyone is equal"
then you saw when Martin came in you could see exactly how much respect Martin has for everyone around him. He obviously thinks he is the #1 rider and it was his race - regardless of who else is in it.
** To show the level of Disrespect shown to the whole team who were trying to console him and say - its just another racing day - was incredible and what they should do is let him go" - as its obvious that his "hothead" behavior hasn't gone anywhere.
Shocking and he should be fined by the Team.
Everyone understands that a satellite team will always be considered #2 in the pecking order but to start Blaming them for your own problems when you are RACING - that is out of order.
The bullying behavior from stars is well know but the "show" had 2 definite sides shown today.
Human Side
Fabio Di Giannantonio - showed humanity, class, grit and pure racecraft to win after being CLATTERED by huge debris from Alex marquez's bike.
Pedro Acostahas shown lip biting patience with his KTM for 1 1/2 seasons and continues to remain positive and pragmatic - guy deserves a medal for hanging on!
Crazy side
Martins comments show a TV public presence ,but to just say " i'm fast and i could have won today - just a tad arrogant i think - as he had been on the back foot all weekend with 5 crashes so his view that he was still the best is delusional at best.
Marco Bezzecchi on the other hand knew his day was not today and accepted it. He knew that he couldn't win and just rode to his best result but Martins obvious arrogance about who is #1 was shown by his reaction and the fact that he failed to secure the world championship lead.

The #2 comment

last lap when Acosta went down after Ogura who was faster went up the inside - this happens all the time - "Ai Ogura taking down Pedro Acosta" -
It was a racing move - we've seen it before and there was room and Acostas front tire let go he wasn't bumped by Ogura! Look at tire angles and space and OGURA had every right to attempt the pass. He went to apologize as a HUMAN not because he was in trouble - If Acosta had made that move - it would have just been "shark attack" but everyone including Ogura knew his front tire was done - that's racing.

There is a LOT on the line here but we are all Humans - and we know we can make mistakes and be awesome within the same hour - but our behavior shows whether we are humans that have been trained properly to be brilliant and show respect - and tempers, we'll they should be left at kindergarten - where they belong

Great win Diggia, and great result for HRC - Honda Racing Corporation and good to see Gresini Racing make the box to honor their injured colleague.

WSBK - MOST, CZE

well Aruba.it Racing - Ducati are going to win the title and Nicola Bulega and Iker Lecuona (barring injury) have the best bike by a mile.
and 7 Ducatis in the top 9 says it all really.
the One exception?

Garrett Gerloff OF Texas - finally got the Kawasaki rolling and Handling the way he wants it. rode to P4 in race one and P6 in superpole - Great rides and looking forward to race 2.

The New Sportbike class is excellent way better than 300's as more racecraft and every manufacturer seems to have a chance Supersport class - we saw that new CFMoto ripping up trees - looks like its still doing that - amazing results for season #1

Spanish GP

How do you know you are in Spain for the GP? - Well, all that is talked about is the Spanish riders - good as they are.

Q1 and Q2

Acosta - awesome - looking really good and if the KTM doesn't eat its tire (as Pit Beirer mentioned) and he has to get away in top 3.

Franco Morbidelli - Ultimate tow truck qualifying - he needs to buy Bagnia for getting out of Q1 and ends up P2 after another tow - can't blame him - as a. boss is in town, and B. he hasn't got a job next year. His start will be critical but if there are folks all over him P5 is best he can expect

Alex Marquez looks fast - and his tire management and good start will win him the race.Zarco - virtually unmentioned except after laps were finished and wasn't on screen - P5 - first LCR Honda Team Awesome Job - but he has to get a great start and Honda just aren't there with those yet.
Jorge Martín Almoguera can come from wherever to win but he's been down 4 times already - will he risk it? Only if Bezzechi is in front of him. - He could win the sprint though
Raul Fernandez - also under the radar - if he gets a good start he'll be there

But Overall fed up with the Spanish Bias in Commentary and TV coverage but I do Have One question?

WHY IS IT that every year we hear about the poor grip at this track - why doesn't it get resurfaced? (its is Spain - home of Dorna?)

Qualifying and Sprint Saturday
LE-MANS 2026
MotoGP
Congrats to the podium in the sprint

Jorge Martín Almoguera SHOWED THE PERFORMANCE THAT MADE HIM 2024 WORLD CHAMPION - the start was killer and no-one could catch him after that.
Pecco Bagnia did well but obviously has a Limit and BEZ was there again - His consistency will see him in the title fight as Martin is still a wildcard as far as mistakes go but Sprints - WOW record holder and its no surprise.
But
Mark Marquez - WTF is going on? - and these front end folding and Jumping crashes are getting more prevalent - is it the areo changes? - they always look weird when they happen and Mark was a passenger and he got a real beating.
AFTER AN ALMOST PERFECT LAP a few hours before?
He seemed to have no pace from the start - totally weird unless its down to a Banana tire - as they are not that reliable (proven) It will be better with Pirelli - IF MotoGP UP THE ALLOCATION and not save their pennies for Bu****it (pretend) Eco reasons.
Fabio Quartararo - excellent - riding the wheels off an improving Yamaha MotoGP bike.
Johann Zarco and Moriera however showed the pace the Honda Truly has when the pace and temperature go up - Joan Mir made the best of it for Honda. They obviously like cooler air.

American Racing Moto2 Team - AWESOME RESULT front row and 2nd row - WELL DONE AND ITS ABOUT TIME! Joe Roberts racer - thought he was gonna be on the front row but row 2 will do.

Moto3 Fansite
Joel Kelso - Front Row - finally got that Honda moving as we know you have the pace - a good start and you'll be there - lets see some fairing bashing especially if Munoz is ahead as payback for being robbed at the same venue a a year ago should still be fresh in the memory! You were Robbed of the Win and everyone knows it.!

I want to wake up and watch it rain - and then the playing field will be level!

06/28/2025

- Lets hope for cool weather or some rain - give folks a chance

Well, looks like this season, Barring Injuries will be all about one family.
stand out ride from Zarco in 4th - the honda is moving forward but the Yamaha Racing machines - they must be wondering..
KTM look stuck but Aprilia look like they are moving forward
But I am afraid - without some rain - a procession is what it will be
