When considering candidates for any position, PTW tries to find good in all. I remember when I was looking at jobs in my industry and how it seemed to be difficult to find employment because I was considered the "underdog" and lacked "experience". At PTW we believe that the only way an individual is going to gain experience is if we provide them with an opportunity to do so. I woke up this morning at 7 like I normally do, commenced to doing my daily morning routine of taking deep breaths, meditation, and reflecting on myself and I thought of how my culture and heritage has shaped me into the being the leader that I am today. Watching this video reaffirmed for me that being of Geechee decent is a powerful thing as my people were once slaved and now we are leaders in our communities and around the world; we have taken all the lessons and the Gullah language that was past down for generations and allowed it to manifest in way that which we can only imagine. Today is a day to be proud of your culture and to reflect on how your culture has shaped you into the leader that you are.
