Every time I see a "whole body deodorant" commercial I want to eat garlic.

Why are we being bombarded with deodorant advertising that extols the virtues of spraying the entire body with anti-smell chemicals? I sit in quarantine and turn on the TV. While being pummeled with news reports of death, dying, desperation and depression, I'm bombarded with bright lights and cheery marketing messages. "Drive this car and enjoy life." "Drink this soda and you'll smile." "Eat this burger and happiness will fill your belly." Feel bad-feel good. Frown-smile. Cry-laugh. This morning I went to my local gym where I watched the start of a 6-10 year old kids' basketball game.
