I believe this is the greatest gift we can give each other as human beings, this sacred field of unconditional friendship where we allow each other to be imperfect.
It is the space in which we give up trying to fix each other and instead listen with our entire being.
It is the space in which true relaxation can happen, where the frazzled nervous system can breathe a sigh of relief ..

Some periods of our growth are so confusing that we don’t even recognize that growth is happening. We may feel hostile or angry or weepy and hysterical, or we may feel depressed. It would never occur to us, unless we stumbled on a book or a person who explained to us, that we were in fact in the process of change, of actually becoming larger, spiritually, than we were before. Whenever we grow, we tend to feel it, as a young seed must feel the weight and inertia of the earth as it seeks to break out of its shell on its way to becoming a plant. Often the feeling is anything but pleasant. But what is most unpleasant is the not knowing what is happening. Those long periods when something inside ourselves seems to be waiting, holding its breath, unsure about what the next step should be, eventually become the periods we wait for, for it is in those periods that we realize that we are being prepared for the next phase of our life and that, in all probability, a new level of the personality is about to be revealed.

Wishing you a courageous weekend!

In our day to day lives, we often show courage without realizing it. However, it is only when we are afraid that courage becomes a question. Courage is amazing because it can tap in to the heart of fear, taking that frightened energy and turning it towards initiative, creativity, action and hope. When courage comes alive, imprisoning walls become frontiers of new possibility, difficulty becomes invitation and the heart comes into a new rhythm of trust and sureness. There are secret sources of courage inside every human heart; yet courage needs to be awakened in us. Courage is the spark that can become the flame of hope, lighting new and exciting pathways in what seemed to be dead, dark landscapes.

“Write a prayer that is worthy of the destiny to which you have been called.” ~ John O’Donohue

A PRAYER FOR YOUR WILD SOUL

Give yourself time to make a prayer that will become the prayer of your soul. Listen to the voices of longing in your soul. Listen to your hungers. Give attention to the unexpected that lives around the rim of your life. Listen to your memory and to the inrush of your future, to the voices of those near you and those you have lost. Out of all of that attention to your soul, make a prayer that is big enough for your wild soul, yet tender enough for your shy and awkward vulnerability; that has enough healing to gain the ointment of divine forgiveness for your wounds; enough truth and vigour to challenge your blindness and complacency; enough graciousness and vision to mirror your immortal beauty. Write a prayer that is worthy of the destiny to which you have been called.

"Our mind is a funny thing. When we’re feeling down, we search for reasons why and uncover real and imaginary hurts, challenges and fears to explain how we’re feeling. We actually welcome in thoughts that exaggerate how we’re feeling and it becomes a vicious cycle. If you are feeling discouraged, it’s time to reset your mind. First recognize that there’s a good chance that you’re holding the door open to self-limiting ideas and close that door. You close that door by getting busy doing something else. Go for a walk, take a shower, clean out a closet, invite a friend to meet for coffee. We can’t change our circumstances with a magic wand but we can change our thoughts. We can actually reprogram our thoughts by simply remembering and reclaiming our power. And by taking action, by doing small, more meaningful and constructive things, we get out of our own way and we become more open to changing our actual situation." Paul S Boynton
