Hi! 👋

Over the past couple of months, I’ve rekindled my passion for posting insights and thought it would be a great time to reintroduce myself to those of you who might be new here—or just discovering me for the first time.

I’m Dr. Jackie Meyer, CPA, with 20+ years of experience and a passionate advocate at the intersection of entrepreneurship, technology, and education. After making the leap from Big 4 Deloitte to eventually selling my own CPA firm at a premium, I’ve centered my career around embracing tech innovations, supporting mental health for entrepreneurs, and mastering the ROI Method of value pricing, which has been a game-changer for both my business and my clients.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

I am now officially Dr. Jackie Meyer, CPA! It's been an incredible journey of learning, growth, and perseverance, and I'm excited to share this milestone with all of you.

A big thanks to Kathleen Patterson and friends at Regent University for all their support! And to Joe Petersen my C12 Business Forums chair for encouraging my enrollment!

To celebrate, I wanted to share some fun Q&A about my journey and what’s next:

Q: Can you now prescribe medicine?
A: Nope! Not that kind of doctor. But I can prescribe some solid financial and leadership advice!

Q: What can you do?
A: I can school you in leadership and coaching...except the more I’ve learned, the less I realize I really know! 😅

Q: What inspired you to pursue a doctorate?
A: My passion for financial literacy and helping entrepreneurs achieve balance and fulfillment in their lives drove me to deepen my knowledge and expertise. I’ve now grown three solid companies, with TaxPlanIQ being the latest eight-figure bootstrapped software, and that included growing teams. I wanted to be a better leader for them and help others do the same.

Q: What was the focus of your doctoral studies?
A: Leadership and Christian coaching, with a sprinkle of how these principles can be applied to enhance financial literacy and entrepreneurial success. I also wrote extensively about women's leadership, rights, and equality, which I believe are incredibly important. Bible translations have often skewed female’s into lessor than roles, and I aim to address and rectify these misconceptions - women have always been key teachers and biblical leaders. It is a travesty to ignore their wisdom for ANYONE.

Q: What’s next for you?
A: I’m excited to continue my work with TaxPlanIQ and my amazing team now lead by Dave Lukas, helping tax advisors deliver exceptional value to their clients.

I’m also finding a literary agent/traditional publisher for my book (and final doctoral project), “The Balance Sheet of Life: Cutting the BS for Entrepreneurial Peace, Love, and Literacy”, and exploring new opportunities for speaking and collaboration. I plan to keynote and provide workshops on my book topics, alongside expanding financial and tax literacy to taxpayers.

Authors, publishers, agents, need your help! I’ve just finished my book manuscript for my doctorate in leadership - a business/self help book for entrepreneurs. I’m trying to break the mold of bestselling business books lacking female authors but have no idea where to start.

I came across Ben Bella who published traction one of my fav’s. They happen to be in the Dallas area near me. Or there’s leadership group who published my other fav We should all be millionaires by . But I hear you need a literary agent to get traditional publishers attention. Does anyone have a connection in this area that may be able to guide me a bit? TIA!!!

My closest friends are going to eye roll this one like…duh…been telling you this for years!!! But…When I was younger (and owned a cpa firm, who feels that??) I thought I had to be this perfect person. It went along well with the facade I put on since childhood as being a high achiever and totally normal. Well…

no one is normal and frankly it’s boring. One of the top blessings of moving into software with TaxPlanIQ is finding my authentic self. I had a really tough childhood. Everyday I grow into realizing that more and more, especially as writing my book becomes this healing process of letting it out, and my perfectionism and lack of trust in people lead to many years of not opening up and befriending so many friends & colleagues out there that I now know and love. If you were one of those people I’m truly sorry. I’m working to be a better person everyday & to get to know more people. And to those that saw past my BS and still befriended me, I’m honored. Lots of love!
