Privileged to practice on Long Island’s East End, we are constantly reminded of the beauty of the region. Our commitment to responsible stewardship means treading lightly when working in environments like this awe-inspiring bayfront shoreline. For this project, we employed an innovative/alternative sanitary system, native plantings and pervious gravel paving to protect the quality and function of the surrounding wetland ecosystem.

Long associated with camouflage and mystery, these moths invite us to look beyond the obvious to imagine the possibilities — exactly what we were there to do.

At Langlais Art Preserve, K+dC partner Meryl enjoyed walking among the large-scale wood sculptures of Maine-born artist Bernard Langlais, among them "Local Girl," Langlais' perspective on the subject of Andrew Wyeth's painting "Christina's World," and the monumental "Geometric Cow."

On a recent visit to Maine, K+dC partner Meryl was inspired by the Marshall Point Lighthouse and its sculptural lighthouse beacon -- and a rare blue lobster sighting!
Don't worry; the folks at released their friend back to the Gulf of Maine.
