Some projects mean more than words can fully express.
Smith Steelworks had the privilege of designing, fabricating, and powder coating a memorial bench honoring Charlie Kirk in collaboration with the Salem Hills High School Turning Point/Club America Chapter.
On September 3, the TPUSA Salem Hills High School Chapter presidency, along with the owners of Smith Steelworks, had the opportunity to present the bench to Erika Kirk at Turning Point USA headquarters.
The bench now sits in a special place on the TPUSA grounds, facing the cross placed there by The Message of the Cross. We hope it will be a place to pause, reflect, remember, and find peace.
Being part of this project meant a great deal to us. We are grateful to have helped create something that carries so much love and meaning and will stand in Charlie’s memory for years to come.
Today marks one year since Charlie’s passing on September 10, 2025, a loss that hit especially close to home here in Utah. On a day filled with remembrance, we feel especially grateful to have played a small part in creating this lasting tribute.
This was more than another project for Smith Steelworks. It was something we will always be grateful to have been a part of.
