With this Corona Virus here I keep trying to think of ways to stay joyful...you that know me know my slogan is “Choose Joy!”
This week I have been able to get a lot done. Clean out my laundry room, better organize my craft supplies, share some craft supplies w/some kids who in turn made words of encouragement for others. I was able to help a mom who has a 1yo and 5yo and didn’t want to get them out to shop for their Easter Baskets.
Like many I have adjusted to my husband working from home and yes, he wants 3 meals a day! Like many I have cleaned more than ever! I’ve had more time for devotional time and quite time. 🥰.
I keep trying to think of creative ways to help. A young mom yesterday asked me to post more of my artwork because she said with most of all the stores closed she would get some things for Easter and other gifts she needs. So, I decided a good way to do that would be to start posting on this site again. It has been over a year since I’ve used it.
I hesitated to do that at first just because of the times but our pastor’s sermon on Sunday was “The New Normal”. We did a test run last night to have virtual Sunday School with our class starting this Sunday. This morning I got a sweet invite to my great nephews 4yo virtual birthday party next week. Yes, many things are our “New Normal”!
Therefore, I have decided to use this site, Joyful Julia’s, as a way to spread joy! Please share any ideas 💡 you have. Share ideas of things you might can do for others while practicing social distancing. I will post a few items I’ve made if anyone is interested in doing front porch pickup. If you have items you make and want to post here feel free to also.
If y’all know anyone in need of food, or a senior who might need help share and hopefully I can connect someone to help them. Our community is great...our Prodisee Pantry is giving emergency food supplies out on Tuesday mornings. My Church, Jubilee Baptist, is giving student lunches out on Tue, Wed and Fridays from 11-12. I’m sure many more of you know places that are helping so please feel free to share those here also!
Please remember, God is our refuge and strength! And as my sweet daddy said, “The Best is Yet to Come!”
