Got to play in the dirt a little bit today. Had to install a new mailbox post (in case you are wondering frost looks to be about 16-18 inches deep currently). I always enjoy time in the dirt. But the blustery winds today lessened the joy a tad. Looking forward to warmer days and bigger projects.

So I took advantage of an unexpected midweek day off (from my job-job) today and used it to finish a couple projects. One has been a struggle for some time thanks to Mother Nature-the pond project is finished!!! I want to thank Smith and Erica Hoy for trusting me with their project This particular project has been very difficult and very rewarding. I also fixed their driveway and thenfixed another washed out driveway for a new customer!

I wasn’t going to share pictures of the pond until the project is finished. I’m not that patient and the finish line is currently at the mercy of Mother Nature who seems to be angrily pushing it further and further out!! There is still some grading and finish work to do before I post any more pictures but for now I’ll share this one.

Was having a low key day with Diesel today and got a call for a tractor that was tipping over. When I got there only three wheels were touching Mother Earth (I again am lacking in the photography skills). I first attempted to drive it out under its own power Owner had no interest in trying himself as the initial ride was enough excitement for his day. It would move but wouldn’t level out enough to climb out of its predicament. Tracked my excavator to it and pulled it to level ground. Then repaired the trail. Customer was extremely pleased and I got to play with my toys for a bit, Win-Win!!

Said goodbye to a couple friends this off-season (single axle dump truck and dozers). They found a new home up-north in Hodag county. I’m in the process of setting up a replacement truck (that is a rather significant undertaking-and added a backhoe to my equipment list. I already have jobs in mind for this guy and am looking forward to getting in the dirt. A big shout out to Spartan Outdoor Services for the trucking to get my new toy home! Hopefully Mother Nature stops the hah ha just kidding game soon so get a hold of me for your excavation needs.
