Personal Testimony: Recently, I has a slow leak in one of my tires. I was having to add air to it daily. I’d purchased the tires through Walmart and had them install them. I’d also purchased the warranty, etc. I made an appointment for that Thursday and took it in. They claimed that they checked several times and couldn’t find a leak. So I asked them to just do the rotation and balance anyway. Then they said if it keeps going down, to bring it back in. Of course, it kept going down. I made another appointment for the following Saturday and took it back. This time, the said they actually found the leak but…bad news…it’s too close to the sidewall to be fixed. They suggested that I order a replacement tire, pay for it and that they would reimburse me for it once I get it installed. I did that and scheduled the install. During the install, for some reason the guy said he couldn’t get the tire off…which, they’d done the rotation and balance previously so I didn’t understand the issue. They then demanded that I come out to the tire bay, handed me the tool and said I needed to try to loosen it so that they could get the tire off. As a result, the stud broke off. They pretty much told me I needed to get that fixed, put the tire on and sent me on my way. This, after telling me that I wouldn’t be completely reimbursed for the tire I purchased, but that it instead would be prorated; which was never explained to me. So I contacted the law firm, let them know everything that happened, sent in my photo evidence and ended up getting a settlement from Walmart after they were contacted by the law firm. So glad to have the service provided through LegalShield.
