💥News Flash💥

Due to Benny’s injury, his mom Amy has decided to step up and learn what it takes to keep a barrel horse going. Amy trail rides with us and has been around horses for years now but when it came to actually working a horse to condition it, she was a little nervous.

After just two lessons, Amy was walking and trotting, as well as working on her posting. During her last lesson with Cody, she decided to push the envelope and learned to lope! Let us tell ya, there was a lot of dust in everyone’s eye to see her knock one of her horse goals out of the park! We are so proud of you Amy and the hard work you are putting into helping your son and reaching personal goals!

Started off the new year right. Gave the pleasure ponies a break and rode the ropin’ prospect today. This dude, for a 2 yr old, is one of the best minded youngins to come through the barn to date. Ponied the biggest 4yr old in the barn on a trail ride a few days ago and now we’re putting him to the tire. Getting this dude closer and closer to being full time in the roping pen.

Well, took advantage of this beautiful, warm, last day of 2021. Worked the entire string of youngin’s today. Couldn’t ask for a better thing to do then this for the last day of the year.

CS Performance Horses would like to proudly welcome Gunslinging Idol or “doc” as he is known, to the barn family. We are excited to start working with Doc and his new owner David Huffman. David is an admin for this page and has been a family friend for many years. We’re excited to help this pair with their goals and see where they end up in their riding career!

So we had a great 2021 fair day with some great placings first up is
Brooklyn cleaned up the hunter type mare halter class with grand and reserve grand champions
A win in the western pleasure and the huntseat
And ended up with reserve grand champion in the western type halter and 2 second places in showmanship
Now we have MiaRose
MiaRose showed her gelding in his first show ever and came home with
Grand champion English type gelding and reserve western type gelding halter
Two seconds in showmanship
She also won western pleasure and huntseat
She also was reserve grand champion in huntseat equitation and
To finish the day off with Brooklyn on the pit crew and MiaRose in the saddle they brought home the versatility first place trophy
To say I am proud is an understatement both these young lady’s have worked their butts off to accomplish this awards I want to congratulate Brooklyn Henderson’s completion of her 10 years of 4-h and wish her the best for her future going forward
