Nodland Cellars closed for business 2020. We had a great run and I accomplished everything I had hoped for and more over the two decades of winemaking. Now I am focusing on my practice as a lawyer celebrating 34 years in the law. I also am proud to be an adjunct professor at Gonzaga School of Law where I teach Wine Law. Thank you to everyone who was in our wine club, to those who carried our wines in their shops or restaurants and to those who visited the winery and took a bottle or two home. You made it a dream come true. Cheers!

I am looking forward to this next semester of teaching Wine Law to law students at Gonzaga. This will be the fifth year teaching about what I love.

I was invited to teach Wine Law and Business at Gonzaga Law School for Spring Semester 2024 which will be the third time I have lectured on this subject. This is a two credit course running for 14 two hour classes. It is an honor to have this opportunity to mentor young future lawyers, many of whom plan to enter the wine industry after law school.

I have been serving as a consulting winemaker and greatly enjoy the interaction with other winemakers and especially having the opportunity to pass on the knowledge I acquired in 21 consecutive vintages at Nodland Cellars.

A good memory from our first and only release of the Frassy Red Wine back in 2015, a Designer Red Wine dedicated to my three "Fashionista" daughters.

A NEW WINE! The Malbec will be released on Saturday, March 27th to be held at the beautiful new winery facility at Liberty Lake Wine Cellars. This is a joint project I am doing as a winemaking consultant with the talented young winemakers Mark and Sarah Lathrop. This is old vine Malbec from Sagemoor Vineyard aged in Sequin Moreau French and American oak barrels. We worked together to make a wine we are both very proud of. It is huge in mouthfeel, full bodied and highly extracted, bursting with blue berries, black berries, and a nice hint of vanilla and spice from the toasted oak barrels.

VERY LIMITED PRODUCTION. We made only three barrels of this wine. You must order now to get your hands on some bottles. Regular price $38 but if you mention that you were sent by me or by Nodland Cellars you get a special price of $35. I encourage you to join the LLWC wine club and get an additional 10%, 15%, 30% off the purchase and access to the other LLWC wines.

Nodland Cellars wins more medals. These came in the mail. 96 points and Double Gold for the 2017 Seven Hills, Walla Walla Valley Syrah and 95 points and Gold for the 2016 Pepperbridge, Walla Walla Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Do you have any of these wines in your collection?

What a thrill to win the "Best of the Best" Cabernet category two years in a row in the influential Wine Press Northwest Invitational Platinum judging. This is a third career win, 2013, 2019, and now 2020. A huge honor.
