If you are new to eastern Washington or have lived here your whole life, you have hopefully noticed the rocks and landforms of our area. Did you know that the geology out here is unique because of ancient, catastrophic floods that flowed through the Spokane Valley, across the Columbia Basin and eventually out of the mouth of the Columbia River? The Ice Age Flood Institute Cheney-Spokane Chapter is here to help tell the story and show off our amazing regional landscapes! Follow us to learn about future lectures and guided hikes. Also, consider becoming a member to get our monthly newsletter and discounts at our bookstore!
