Last week I had the most incredible time at the first ever EWU Alumni Business Showcase.

It was part of the homecoming week festivities Eastern Washington University!

What a great experience to visit the newly remodeled train station, now leased by Eastern Coffee Roasters.

And alumni business owners showed up! From balloons, marketing, candy, hot sauce, hospitality, merchandise and Rosa's Pizza Cheney!!

The October Freedom Flyer is here and this one is personal. 💙

I'm sharing highlights from a speaking season that genuinely taught me something. From a room full of business people at the GSI JumpStart workshop to the incredible women at the 2nd annual Nourish Retreat, the conversations this month reminded me why I do this work.

Inside this issue:

Three things worth budgeting for in October that most people overlook, including one that could save you hundreds of dollars next year.

Three helpful resources on beating inflation, building wealth in your 50s, and how debt-free people actually live.

Four upcoming events in our community worth putting on your calendar before October 20.

And the article that ties it all together — because sometimes the room teaches you just as much as you teach the room.

My mom always told me to not bring more than I can carry in one trip. Whoopsie! :)

See you at the Nourish Conference at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, September 19!

Today was the BEST!

I got to meet and serve people today when it comes to sales. And our conversations were amazing.

To be honest, some of the people in there had it quite dialed in already but they stayed with me and even did some role play!

Not to mention that some of my favorite people were there! Jen, Sam, Kim, Brie. (Kim and Brie win the award for furthest traveled all the way from Sandpoint and Coeur d' Alene)

I've been keeping a secret... but I have to let you in on it!

I'm presenting at Greater Spokane Inc.'s JumpStart event next Tuesday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m.

The Topic? Relational Sales.

I get it. Nobody want's to be sold and very few people actually enjoy selling. But, what if you could change that?

Join me in person at 801 W. Riverside Avenue to establish a new way of thinking about sales. Oh yeah, don't forget to register. (It's free, so excuses)

There's not too many seats left though.
