For many people, this is a season to start again, just like the New Year.

The academic year being on the heels of fall brings us back to some sort of routine. I see this in the coaching and speaking world too.

I'm not immune. This summer, I said (maybe not out loud, but subconsciously "to heck with walking every day and going to Zumba three times a week. It's summer!" And please don't ask me about my consumption.

This week, I'm back at it...one day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Not pushing to where I was in May, yet.

If you're ready to restart your efforts to have a budget that works for you, pay off debt, or save for the future this IS the right time to do it. Let me know if you're ready to establish or return to a financial routine that works for you and your family.

Rest assured, fires aside that we are ok! My thoughts have been consumed with all of the people impacted by the Spokane Complex fires. From evacuations to total loss, I can't stop thinking about how long it will take to rebuild for 900 families.

The next version of the Freedom Flyer is coming out a day early (tomorrow) so stay tuned as it dives deep into the processing and preparing for emergencies.

Last week I attended the Amplifying Women's Voices Soiree and brought a simple activity. A banner with five stops along a financial journey, from just finding my footing to living financially free. I asked women to place a dot where they are today.

Forty conversations later, I left with something I didn't expect.

Half of the women placed their dot at the very beginning of the scale.

Not because they were failing. Because they were honest. And because they were ready.
