This week’s pick comes from our co-founder, Nancy, who cannot stop thinking about the decadent, colorful, and perfectly sweet Birthday Cake Tres Leches from Pastry Lu’s!

🎂Owner Luisania (Lu) began perfecting her recipes at her sister’s restaurant in New York City. After her desserts quickly became a hit with customers, she turned that love and talent into Pastry Lu’s —a business with Dominican roots creating beautiful treats that taste just as incredible as they look.

The Pastry Lu’s website says it best: “The secret ingredient is LOVE!” And after one bite, we completely agree. 💕

✨ Meet Me On Main: This week we learn more about our Co-Founder, Tiffany…

“This post is personal. I know a lot of moms can relate. And if you are reading this and it resonates, I see you girl!

When I became a mom, my definition of success changed. Before Dominik, I measured success by publications, awards, and titles. After becoming a mom, success looked a lot different. It looked like getting through the day on very little sleep, building a career during nap time, answering emails after bedtime, and learning how to juggle motherhood and a career. The Baby Brezza, USA was an absolute lifesaver.

Starting a business as a mom has been one of the hardest things I've ever done.
There are days I feel like I'm giving everything I have to Main Street Strategies, while wondering if I'm giving enough to my family. There are days I celebrate a new client in the morning and deal with a serious toddler tantrum in the afternoon. Entrepreneurship doesn't stop because your toddler needs you, and motherhood doesn't pause because you have a deadline.

But there's something incredibly powerful about building a business while raising a child.

My son gets to grow up watching his mom take risks, solve problems, build relationships, and create something from nothing. I hope one day he remembers that dreams don't have an expiration date, and that it's okay to build a life that looks different from what you expected. It’s okay to pivot and choose a new career path. Of course, I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of my husband Ondra Trdla, sister Julianne Bush, brother Dave Bush, and best friends Sinead Squier and Kara Elizabeth -- all of whom are parents to young children and know the struggle is real.

If you're a parent building something, whether it's a business, a career, or a dream you've carried for years, I'm cheering for you. Some of the strongest businesses on Main Street were built by people who simply refused to give up or settle.

🪄🦄Our “Meet Me On Main” series is a way for you to learn more about who we are — the wizards behind the curtain, the people behind Main Street Strategies!

🥳👏For our Co-Founder Nancy, inspiration comes from the younger version of herself, and her nieces & nephews...

"When I was a kid, I never really felt like I was anything special. My goal was to blend in, fly under the radar, and avoid rocking the boat. If you blend in, you may not get praise — but you also don’t get made fun of or bullied. So, I played it safe. I kept my head down, completed tasks to the best of my ability, and tried not to take up too much space. Like most of us, I wasn't able to avoid any of those things🤪

As I got older, I realized there were certain topics and people I cared deeply about. And when I found myself in those spaces, I couldn’t stay quiet. In learning how to help others and communicate my knowledge, I had to learn how to use my own voice — to tell the stories people needed to hear.

🥰What inspires me now is making the younger me proud by standing in my truth and being unapologetically myself. It’s also the desire to show my awesome nieces and nephews that we are all different for a reason. We each bring unique strengths, skills, and perspectives to the world.

My hope is that they grow up knowing they can use their voices to help others, communicate knowledge, stand proudly in who they are, and never feel like they have to shrink themselves to belong."

💐🛍️🪴After years in nursing and caring for people through some of life’s most meaningful moments, Amanda felt called toward a path that was still rooted in care, but allowed her to embrace something more personal and creative.

That path led her to the Brookville Flower Shop, where she continues to serve others by helping families celebrate, comfort, remember, and connect through the beauty of flowers.

Recently celebrating 70 years in business, the Brookville Flower Shop has become a true local staple — built on generations of trust, support, and community connection. One moment that has stayed with Amanda was when a local customer came in simply to share how much the shop had meant to her family over the years, even offering support in return. It was a quiet but powerful reminder that this business is more than a flower shop. It is part of the heart of the community.

After a week of record-breaking heat in the NY/NJ area, and a weekend spent celebrating Independence Day (America’s 250th birthday 🥳), there was only one thing to do: cool off with something refreshing and delicious.

Enter: the peach fruit tea with mango popping boba from Rai Rai Ramen in East Brunswick, New Jersey. 🥤🍑🥭

With locations in the heart of several New Jersey towns, Rai Rai Ramen offers so much more than ramen. Their menu features a variety of ramen bowls, Taiwanese dishes, beverages, desserts, and plenty of flavorful options worth exploring.

☀️But on a hot summer day? This fruit tea was the perfect Main Street Must-Have. Sweet, refreshing, and packed with bright mango boba; it was the best way to cool down and enjoy a local favorite!

This week, we have a special July Edition of “Meet Me on Main!” Isn’t Tiffany’s son a cutie?!…

“One of my favorite parts of July is watching traditions become memories.

This year it's sparklers with my son. A few years from now it'll probably be staying up too late for fireworks, grabbing ice cream after the parade, or whatever new tradition he decides is our thing.

I've learned that the best parts of summer aren't the big moments. They're the little ones that happen on Main Street. Running into people you know, supporting local businesses, waving to neighbors, and realizing you're raising your family in a place that feels connected.

That's what Main Street has always meant to me. Not just a destination, but a place where memories are made.
