Vulnerable and Strength.

Today is a great day to practice allowing yourself to be vulnerable to those around you. There is strength in being vulnerable that we have been conditioned to believe is weakness.

Maybe you want to word vomit, maybe you don't have a filter, maybe you just want to pretend like the feelings do not exist; whichever way you're coming from with your feelings, take a step back and see them instead of being them. You cannot hide from your inner self and you can no longer sit back as it eats at you.

Your heart is in the right place, and you want to say all of the words. But the key to being vulnerable is acknowledging that you have these feelings but you are not these feelings. You must come from a place of love for yourself as you express what is on your mind, only then will true inner strength be shown.

Today, give yourself the chance to actually speak up. Today, if you care about someone, tell them. Today, if you have feelings and a romantic interest it is the perfect time to tell the honest truth about how you feel for this person. Don't let yourself hold you back from something that could be the best thing to ever happen to you. Be vulnerable. Share the love.

By incorporating affirmations into our lives, we can change the story our brains have been telling us. However, this does not mean we disregard the pain, the past, or the trauma. I do not want you to believe that toxic positivity is the way to go. What I want you to do is practice healing your fear of love. We will delve into ourselves this week, so grab whatever writing device you need. During this week, we will be asking ourselves when the fear began, and how we can make sure we love ourselves enough to at least give ourselves the love we have been denied.
