This was an interesting termite job. The customer called when termites swarmed in her home office area on the first floor. After a thorough inspection we found multiple areas around the home.
The most interesting find was that they had maneuvered around the indoor/outdoor carpet and completely destroyed a stored nightstand in the basement.
Part of the problem was that old deck boards had been left under the new deck when it was built several years prior. That wood got wet and stayed damp under there for years. This basically created an invitation for termites to move in.
