We are thrilled to announce that Nicole Barnes has been chosen as a Hunger Hero winner! As the Cafeteria Manager at Saguaro High School, Nicole has made remarkable improvements to the Breakfast and Lunch Programs, greatly enhancing the students' dining experience. With over 20 different meal options daily, including gluten-free and vegetarian choices, and the addition of a popular salad bar, Nicole's efforts have doubled participation in the lunch program.
Nicole's implementation of the "Flavor Station" and extended breakfast hours for student athletes, creates a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all. Her responsiveness to student requests and and providing special treatss make students feel heard, valued and cared for.
