“Wilderness is a necessity,” John Muir said. I have to agree. Our time in .national.park and Visit Grand Canyon was refreshing and restorative. Swipe right to see some snaps of the trip and how being in the wilderness made me feel. 🏔

Hi, friends! This is my first day back from taking a sabbatical from the gram to do some deep work. Part of that included preparing for and teaching at - a retreat for kick-butt mamapreneurs who are building their own success ladder.
It was such an honor to join amazing women like and yesterday at the beautiful resort as we talked marketing, finance, and living authentically. Thank you for inviting me to be part of this wonderful experience. 💞

Different things inspire us. At times it’s a quote, a book, a movie, or a person. Often times it’s music. This week I’ve had Francesca Battistelli’s song “Fear You Don’t Own Me” running through my head. It’s amazing how many things I don’t do because of a subconscious fear of failure. Her song helps me send fear packing.
What song inspires you when the chips are down and you’re not sure if the odds are in your favor?

Love it or hate it, today is Super Bowl Sunday. I’ll confess, I don’t care a lot about football. Yet I love the excuse to gather with family to eat all afternoon, laugh and cry at commercials, and argue about whether or not the Patriots are heroes or villains.
How do you feel about Super Bowl Sunday? Are you a lover or a hater? Or are you just there for the party like me? 🎉

I’ve been on a reading kick lately. Business books, leadership books, marketing books, parenting books - you name it, I’ve been cramming it into my head. The one thing I haven’t read in a long time is a good fiction book.

Have you read any good novels lately. I’d love your suggestions!

Anticipation and excitement are important elements of a good story. We all need more in our lives and businesses.

This weekend I’m excited about the photo shoot experience! Not only will I get a whole new library of brand imagery to freshen my feed, but I get to soak up the masterful experience design of .together.

What are you looking forward to to today? A date with your sweetie? A good movie after the kids go to bed? A glass of wine? A trip to the Caribbean? Whatever it is, I’d love to hear about it!

This quote from sums up my intention this year to show up and take action. I can dream up plans from now until the roll is called up yonder. If I don’t put those ideas into action, they vaporize like the morning mist. So this year, imperfect though my efforts may be, I wanna write that blog (it might be once a month), start that podcast (so what if it’s not perfectly produced), reach out to that expert, and start turning dreams into reality. You with me??

This is the weekend calling. What are your plans?
It’s tempting as an entrepreneur to work 7 days a week. There are SO MANY THINGS to do, learn, research, and the list goes on. Guess what?? You will be more productive if you make time to rest, recreate, and rejuvenate. In 2019, let’s make it a priority to rest one day a week.
What does your weekend need to include for you to feel rested?

Hey friends! For those of you who are new around here, my name is Stephanie. I’m a marketing strategist, content writer, and brand storyteller for start-ups and entrepreneurs.
I’m also a sucker for underdog stories, unlikely heroes, and come-from-behind wins. That’s probably why “The Greatest Showman” is one my favorite movies. When I need to get pumped up, I listen that sound track. Weird, I know. 😆
So tell me, what’s one of your favorite films?

Marketing, despite what marketers would like you to believe, is NOT the staircase to heaven. But...it is a key element in any business plan.
Because it’s easy to get lost in the endless maze of marketing advice on the Internet, I’ve boiled down 100s of hours of marketing research to give you the 5 essential steps to a workable marketing plan in 2019:
✅ Develop your story/message. (This is your differentiation factor. Be authentic. Don’t try to be like everyone else.)
✅ Make a marketing budget (it doesn’t matter if it’s $25 a month or $2500. What you can afford will dictate what you do.)
✅ Choose your channels of distribution and distribution tactics (Hint: Ask yourself where your customers hang out and show up there. Gasp! It might not always be a digital space. It might actually be in the real world!)
✅Create a realistic schedule of content distribution. (The goal here is to be consistent and reliable.)
✅Put the plan into action. (It doesn’t matter if it’s perfect or if you get it right the first time. Let yourself off the hook now: it won’t be either one. An imperfect plan put into action is better than a perfect plan that never materializes. So make a realistic, thoughtful plan and put it into action for at least 3-months. Then reassess and go from there.)
I want to help you achieve success at each step, so fire away in the comments below with any questions you have or marketing frustrations you’re facing.
