A&J Aviation is looking for a motivated, technically minded individual interested in learning Avionics and working to earn their FAA Certificate.
You will be working under the direct supervision of the Chief Inspector/ Director of Operations and are expected to maintain good communication and follow instructions given by your supervisor.
The following is a list of typical responsibilities and skills for this type of work:
1. Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems, following documentation such as blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.
2. Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies, using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and Multimeters.
3. Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and/or specialized tooling.
4. Maintains and cleans line maintenance test equipment and work area as required. Operates ground support equipment as necessary.
5. Attends factory and Company technical classes and participates in OJT to increase technical skills and proficiency. Maintains technical training log.
6. Perform other duties assigned by management or supervisors.
Specific Requirements:
Tolerate working in confined spaces and at heights above 4'.
Read small print and able to identify colors.
Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling and climbing.
Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
Lift routinely up to 50 Lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Lunch from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
You must be able to read write and understand English to be considered for this position.
This position is within a FAA/DOT regulated industry and will require a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing will be enforced. There is a strict No Drug Policy and violations will result in immediate termination of employment.
1 year of experience preferred in Aviation field or 1 year in technical/electrical field, however not required.
