Land of Lincoln UTV was in the Capitol last week to advocate for the expansion of recreational opportunities for UTV vehicles, more commonly known as Side by Sides.

Many other neighboring states bring in millions of dollars in revenue by working with the off-road vehicle community. Land of Lincoln UTV hopes to bring these opportunities to Illinois as well.

James Williams is a participant in the recovery program at 2nd Story Ranch in Crete, IL and he shares his words as part of an ABC 7 story this week.

The story (in comments) talks about the program at 2nd Story and their goals to expand this good work with a new facility and community center on the farm.

2nd Story has partnered with XLN Services to seek out additional funding for bringing this goal to reality, allowing for more lives to be changed by this unique program.

XLN Services welcomed Mayor Dale Little of Marquette Heights to the Capitol earlier this week. Mayor Little met with Senators and Representatives, discussing issues of economic development, preserving local control, infrastructure, and environmental regulations affecting the City.

Last week hundreds of motorcyclist advocates with ABATE of Illinois, Inc. came to Springfield as part of the 2026 ABATE legislative day. These hard working women, men and youth came from all over Illinois to educate lawmakers on issues affecting the motorcycle community. From driverless vehicles to increased access for rider training to fuel availability, profiling, and even making sure electric mobility regulations don't impact motorcycle definitions - these bikers had plenty to discuss.

XLN services was present at the 2026 IML Municipal Lobbyists meeting on behalf of the Village of Grandview.

Municipalities continue to face multiple issues with declining support from the State of Illinois combined with numerous infrastructure and development needs. XLN is proud to represent smaller municipalities and bring their concerns directly to lawmakers.

XLN Services was once again representing ABATE of Illinois, Inc. on WTTW last night on the continued discussions around driverless vehicles trying to come to Illinois. Our position is clear, there must be real regulation and oversight of these companies want to test their technology on IL roads.

Critics are concerned about how the vehicles will impact rideshare workers and the larger economy.

Shout out to all the attorneys and staff at the Legislative Reference Bureau as they receive all the last minute requests to draft new legislation in Illinois today. Procrastinators have until 4:30pm today (1/16/25) to get those requests in.

The LRB performs a vital function in getting ideas transformed into legally sufficient legislation for the General Assembly to consider during the Spring session.
