For the month of May, Mereté raised money and awareness for Shatterproof, a nonprofit dedicated to addiction prevention and recovery, through our Mereté 5K Walk Your Way fundraiser.

The hospitality industry can be especially challenging with long hours, high stress, and demanding environments that can increase the risk of substance use disorders. To help address this, we proudly participate in Shatterproof’s Just Five program, which provides short, impactful five‑minute videos that educate our teams about addiction awareness and how to support those who may be struggling.

At Mereté, we are committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work, starting with our own people. As a management company, we strive to support our associates’ mental and physical well-being while creating meaningful opportunities to give back.

We’re still tallying our final fundraising totals, but we couldn’t be prouder of our hotel teams who not only raised funds, but also came together to complete their 5Ks this past week. 💙👏
