The world has lost Dolly Parton.

Our hearts go out to her family and friends, to our mutual friends and associates at Herschend Family Entertainment, and to the countless fans who found hope, comfort, laughter, and solace in her work.

Dolly had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. She celebrated people from all walks of life and carried a spirit of kindness and inclusion that reached far beyond music and entertainment. She understood that there was room at the table for everybody, and she spent a lifetime inviting people in.

Elemoose was and is especially proud to have played a small part in the Dolly Parton legacy through our work with Herschend on the Dollywood theme park. To have helped build some of the signs and environments that became part of a place created to bring families joy is something we will always treasure.

Dolly’s light was a big one. Her music, her generosity, her humor, and the happiness she gave to so many will continue to echo for generations.

Dolly Parton’s generosity lives on through the Dollywood Foundation and its many efforts to help children and families. It’s another wonderful part of her lasting legacy.

Rest well, Dolly. And thank you for leaving the world brighter than you found it.

Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since the Memphis Pyramid opened its doors as a Bass Pro. Seems like yesterday (and somehow forever ago) we were loading those massive sign pieces onto trucks bound for Memphis — stacks of illuminated letters and cut foam wonders, all shaped by hand.

Feels good to know a “little” piece of the Moose lives on down there.

On this day 10 years ago, Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid opened its doors to hundreds of excited guests. Since then, millions of visitors from across the world have explored the Pyramid - shopping, adventuring, dining and even camping in comfort at Big Cypress Lodge. We're incredibly thankful for a decade of adventure, hospitality and unforgettable memories in Memphis. Here's to the many more to come! 🤎🎣🐻

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of John Edward Baldwin, known to us all as Big John. At 74, he left this world on February 25, 2025, but his spirit, his laughter, and his artistry will forever echo through the halls of Garage Graphics and Elemoose.

John was more than a painter, more than an artist—he was a presence. His talent left its mark on countless projects, but it was his warmth and generosity that truly shaped those around him. Towering in stature and even greater in heart, his laugh could be heard across the shop, bringing light to even the longest days.

If you have any photos of Big John or memories you’d like to share, please post them in the comments. Whether it was a joke he told, a project he poured his talent into, or just a moment where his presence made the day a little brighter, we’d love to hear your stories. Let’s celebrate the man, the artist, and the friend he was to so many.

His impact is undeniable. His absence will be deeply felt. But if you listen closely in the quiet of the workshop, you might just hear that laughter still.
