Today was a historic and heartwarming event at HCC campus as we witnessed the oath and pinning ceremony of the very first Latina, female Chief of Police — Chief Robles!
A heartfelt thank you to President Timmons, VP of people, culture, and equity Dr. Washington, the leadership team, campus police department officers, dedicated faculty, staff, students, and the broader community for coming together to make this day unforgettable for our whole family!
From the beautifully curated speeches that honored equity, leadership, Chief Robles humanity & humor to the cultural touch of the Puerto Rican cuarto playing during the procession, and the deliciously authentic food — every detail reflected deep respect and celebration of heritage, strength, and community.
Chief Robles, known for her fierce leadership, wit, love for karaoke, and living her Wonder Woman life daily, was truly honored today — and she gave us all a reason to smile, laugh, and feel inspired.
The ROBLES family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who shared in this milestone moment — especially Former Chief Livingston (for providing. Succession plan), Central HS with the Presentation of Colors, Mayor Garcia, Chief Keenan, student senate president Heredia, Chief Barrows from Bunker Hill CC for his mentoring, our esteemed legislators Senator Gomez, Representative Ramos, and campus community.
Surprise moment: The Puerto Rican Parade committee announced Chief Robles as the 2025 Civil Service Ambassador for the upcoming September 14th celebration — an honor well deserved!
Here’s to Chief Robles — a trailblazer, a role model, and a powerful symbol of what it means to lead with heart, humor, heritage and integrity!
¡Felicidades, Chief!
