Who are this year's most influential people in philanthropy? TIME is out with a list of 100 names being recognized for "shaping the future of giving at a pivotal moment." The categories include leaders, titans, trailblazers, and innovators. A key New Jersey leader is Rich Besser, President and CEO of the $13.5 billion RWJFoundation, with a vision of a world where health care is a right and not a privilege.

TIME’s annual list featuring new leaders in philanthropy, many of whom are accustomed to success in their own fields, that are eager to see impact now.

As National Nurses Week wraps up, we want to offer our gratitude to nurses everywhere. The 2026 theme set by the American Nurses Association is "The Power of Nurses," and that power is evident in the caring, comfort, and healing these professionals provide every day. We're proud to count health care organizations Visiting Nurse Association Health Group and Helene Fuld College of Nursing among our current clients, and to support them as their nurses positively impact the lives of their patients and our communities.

The country's largest one-day food drive, Stamp Out Hunger, is this Saturday, May 9th, and it's easy to give. Just leave non-perishable food by your mailbox. Letter carriers, the USPS, volunteers, food banks and pantries will do the rest! This is the 34th annual Stamp Out Hunger, and it's collected almost two billion pounds of food over the years. This year's most-needed items include canned meats and tuna; canned and boxed meals and cooking mixes; canned or dried beans and peas; pasta and rice; cereal; 100% fruit juice; and cooking oil.

Nonprofits from across New Jersey have just made their voices heard, with 545 responses to the annual Trends and Outlook survey from the New Jersey Center for Nonprofits. The 2026 look at the state's nonprofit community finds that for many organizations, the demand for services and rising expenses continue to outpace funding. Many are also still struggling with significant workplace shortages. But what really stands out this year is concern about the negative impact of federal government actions and policies on people and communities, along with uncertainty about the economy. The report, supported by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, highlights how nonprofits are responding, and working to shore up their programs.

Day in and day out, year after year, Cindi keeps everything running smoothly for colleagues and clients alike. We always hear from the nonprofits we partner with about what a difference Cindi makes, offering key support and smart ideas that improve every engagement.
