Since completing his legal studies in 2009, Josh has worked with hundreds of nonprofits of all different shapes and sizes. Josh believes all social good initiatives deserve expert and affordable access to the legal services they need to not only survive but thrive. My Nonprofit Attorney was launched in 2026 to pursue this ideal.
Prior to My Nonprofit Attorney, he co-founded Social Impact Commons, the nation’s first field and capacity builder for nonprofit fiscal sponsors where he continues to serve as their Legal Resources Steward and General Counsel. Before that, he headed up the NH Community Loan Fund’s child care and nonprofit lending program after serving as legal counsel at the fiscal sponsor and nonprofit center operator TSNE in Boston, MA for nearly 10 years. Josh earned his Juris Doctor at Vermont Law School and LLM in Commerce and Technology at the University of New Hampshire School of Law. Josh is a member of the NH and MA Bars and lives with his family in New London, NH.

Amity is a licensed CPA in New Hampshire and Vermont. She has reported to boards, served on boards, audited nonprofits in public accounting, and been audited as a Finance Director. She provides trainings and education on a regular basis. She has published books, written online courses, and has been a guest speaker at colleges, economic development associations, makerspaces, and various programs.
She was the tax manager at one of the largest non-profit groups in New England ensuring non-profit compliance for dozens of entities. She also holds an EMBA in Strategic Leadership and the AICPA Nonprofit Certificate. She is now the Captain at Lifeboat Accounting, an accounting firm that only serves nonprofits.
